program

In this 5 day retreat we provide powerful and transcending tools that men from all over the world have been using since thousands of years, for healing, strength, clarity and tranquility.

With a program of daily meditations, mindfulness, EBR (Qi-gong), walking meditation, and the use of rhythms, drumming, music, movements and voice, we slowly bring our busy minds back to a more natural and calmer state and strengthen our focus.

We become more receptive and open for the healing currents that are present during this week.

Asha Meditation

You will learn the powerful method of Asha Meditation, which was developed by Yoginâm for this modern age man in which we use the receptivity of the brain for a particular rhythm. During the week you will discover how this method can easily be integrated into your daily life.

EBR/Qi-Gong

The morning program includes the profound method of EBR (Energetic Body Re-allignment). We sit behind laptops and couches and drive cars for long periods of time. The EBR program contains exercises from Qi Gong, Hatha yoga, martial arts, and a fysiotherapeutic background, that cover a wide area where these problems find their source.

Men with back, leg, shoulder and neck problems, experienced a gradual decrease, or even disappearance, of many of those problems, by using this program on a daily basis. For the participants of this retreat there will be a streaming link available to the sequence of the program to use back at home.

MUSIC

In many Eastern traditions the use of music and voices are very powerful instruments that are being used since thousands of years. During the retreat you can explore these practices and the effects they have on our state. The use of percussive handdrums (for which no experience or musical background is required) help us to tap into unconscious levels that generate strength of focus.

During several evenings we practice the powerful method of chanting. In these sessions we use the voice, accompanied by a drum and music instrument, which gradually helps us open up for deeper and more tranquil states.

Accomodation and food

During the retreat you will stay in one of the traditional, Andalucian style guestrooms, with in the background one of the most beautiful mountain areas near the coast of Andalusia, Spain. The Garden of Nâm is an oasis of tranquility where you can walk along fruit vegetation, exotic plants and trees, where you can sit under the centrally located pergola or in little corners with cool shade and breathtaking views in all directions. Coming to The Garden of Nâm is coming to a garden of transformation.

Enjoy healthy and homegrown food, picked from the garden and prepared by our Ayurvedic cook. During the week you will be served a variety of ecological, detoxing, rejunvenating and tasteful meals. During the day coffee, tea, filtered water, fruit and healthy snacks are freely available.

location

We are situated in Níjar, one of the most beautiful villages of Andalucia. When you cross the bridge, 2 minutes walking from The Garden, you can enjoy a walk through the old village centre with its romantic, narrow alleys and traditional, Andalucian houses.

You can take a walk up the mountain to the Atalaya tower for a stunning view over the entire area, all the way up to the sea and the famous nature reservate of Cabo de Gata. In the old village centre you can enjoy a coffee or cold drink with tapas on the terrace at one of the traditional Spanish cafés, under amazingly shaped olive trees.

During the retreat we will visit the mountain village Huebro, with sensational views across the mountain, where we can drink fresh, mineral rich drinking water, directly from the mountain source.
